St John's Bowls Club

St John's Bowling Club is a flat green bowling club with six rinks founded in 1936, with a current membership of 73; 34 Ladies and 39 Men.  The club is affiliated to Sussex County Bowls and is an Associate member of Bowls England.

It is situated in The Helen Garden high on the seafront, two kilometers west of Eastbourne Pier and just yards from the spectacular chalk cliffs.  It is a short distance from the world famous beauty spot, Beachy Head.  The glorious views from the green, out across the English Channel, are arguably the best from any bowling green in the UK.  If you want "bowls with a view" then St John's is the club for you.

M.O.M.A. (Mothers of Meads Association)

M.O.M.A (Mothers of Meads Association) is a free group run by mothers in Meads.

The aim of our group is to provide an opportunity to meet other Mums in the Meads area and for our children to grow up with friends in the Village.

We regularly meet up with our babies, toddlers and/or older children for a coffee and chat or sometimes just the adults will meet for an evening.

Typical events may include coffee mornings, toddler mornings, ‘bring a dish nights’, quiz nights at the Ship, trips to the cinema/theatre, pamper nights, wine tasting and nights out for Mums (and sometimes Dads).

So, if you would like to join us, please feel free to join our Facebook Page or telephone Tracy on 07868 017020.
